What Hypnosis Is

What does it
feel like to be hypnotized?

Everyone is different ~
Some people say they feel like a
lead weight, while others say
they feel light as a feather.
Either way, it's always
 a wonderfully relaxing & empowering experience ~
But don't expect to be
"sleeping" or "unconscious"....

Contrary to popular belief, when a person is in a state of hypnosis,
 their senses are
extremely acute ~

They are aware of everything that's around them,
and they are always in control.

It's just that they are
allowing themselves to be
so deeply relaxed and
 focused, that their environment
seems to just fade into the
 background.

It's a common misconception
that a hypnotized person won't remember anything or they will "blackout" or is asleep....

However, this isn't the case
at all ~ if anything you are
more aware while in a state of
hypnosis...they're just choosing what's important to focus on.

Hypnosis is a natural altered state of focused awareness and relaxation; allowing for a heightened state of acceptance of acceptable selective thinking.

Believe it or not, we all experience some level of hypnosis (or trance) every day; when you are drifting off
to sleep or right as you are waking up, when daydreaming or praying,
when you are so focused on the
computer, reading a book,
or watching television that you aren't really aware of
 anything else.

You can even be in a state of
hypnosis when you are performing routine tasks such
 as cleaning the house,
mowing the lawn, or driving....

Have you ever driven
 somewhere routine
(like to work) and not
remember driving
the last 5 miles??
Believe it or not,
that's a state of hypnosis!

 How does hypnosis work?

Hypnosis
works when we allow
 the activity of the
conscious mind
to slow down and rest,
while by-passing the
critical factor or mind filter...

...then giving permssion to our
subconscious mind
to focus on the acceptable and
agreeable suggestions that we
give it; utilizing the power
of the creative mind or
imagination in order
to facilitate positive change.

Hypnosis has been approved and acknowledged by the American Medical Association as a legitimate therapeutic modality since 1958.
